New Kaiser Ambulatory Center Features Local Artists

The nearly finished Kaiser Ambulatory Center hung original art by Folsom Artists Sept. 5th in its waiting room.
The outpatient surgery center has six operating rooms with 24 pre-operation and recovery rooms.
It's safe to say that the waiting room will be the best decorated room. Kaiser has a long relationship and commitment to art, said Beth Jones, art consultant for Kaiser.
"We want our colors and structures to support a healing environment," she said. "Our commitment to art is unique to Kaiser and we like to feature artists from the region."
Jones researches local artists and presents them to Kaiser's interior designers.
Local painter Randy Blasquez was chosen by Jones to paint original art to be featured in the center's waiting room.
Blasquez painted three large panoramic landscapes inspired from the view from her own home. The paintings depict Empire Ranch from Folsom Lake to Pilot Hill.
Painting has been a lontime passion for her. "I paint local landscapes because its beautiful and its right here in our own backyard," Blasquez said. "We don't always appreciate these views and my paintings are a reminder of what we have."
The new facility provides a much-needed service to Folsom and surrounding communities.
